	What about shade? No problem. Bamboo loves the shade and actually produces bigger, more tropical looking leaves in shady areas.

This 25ft. high hedge of yellow groove grows in HEAVY SHADE ... WOW!
There's Bamboo Bob amidst a sea of Sasa palmata (which is only supposed to get 7ft. tall).
It was grown in HEAVY SHADE in East Orange, NJ
